Sveinn Snorri Sveinsson

Sveinn Snorri Sveinsson was born in Eastern Iceland, in 1973. He published his first poems while still at junior college and published his first poetry book Inversions, in the early winter of 1991.

In 2019, Deus Publishing House published Sveinsson's thirteenth book, The Village in the Forrest, but his anthology of selected poems, Memory of the Forgotten, was published earlier the same year.

Sveinsson's second novel, Summer in September, was published in 2020, and his third novel, A Journey to the Philippines, was published in 2021.

In 2023, Sveinsson's sixteenth bok and fourth novel, Essence of the Powder, was published.

Júlía Margrét Einarsdóttir

Júlía Margrét Einarsdóttir is a new upcoming talent among Icelandic writers. She completed an MA degree in Creative Writing at the University of Iceland and an MFA degree in Screenwriting at the New York Film Academy.

The Queen of Jupiter is Einarsdóttir's third book, having previously published the novella The Gallery of Grandi (2016) and the poetry book Strawberrymoon (2018).

Kristian Guttesen

Kristian Guttesen, b. 1974, is the author of twelve poetry books in Icelandic, having published his first book in 1995. He was nominated for The 2007 Icelandic Translation Prize, for a translation of the Norwegian novel The Hill (n. Skråninga, by Carl Frode Tiller).
